A Day with Truman Capote

I have decided to experiment with various writing styles. To do this, I need to read at least one work from each author. I rarely spend a lot of time with just one writer’s books, except for Ruskin Bond and a few great short story writers.

For today, I have chosen Truman Capote (1924-1984). He is an American novelist, screenwriter, playwright, and actor. “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” (a novella) is his most famous work. However, I read “This is for Jamie,” a short story from the collection “The Early Stories of Truman Capote.” I love the short story, which explores the emotions of a boy neglected and unheard in his family.
